Western Frontier Roswell Gun Show


The gun show is held at the Roswell Convention & Civic Center and hosted by Western Frontier Gun Shows of New Mexico. The gun show includes private collectors and sellers, as well as federal firearms licensed dealers. The show features ammunition, knives, purses, military and survival supplies, coins, jewelry, western collectibles, and more. All federal, state and local firearm ordinances must be obeyed.

All Saints Mardi Gras


The All Saints Mardi Gras Dinner and Dance is a fundraiser planned and coordinated through the efforts of All Saints Catholic School of Roswell school board and parent volunteers. Every year the event gathers quite a crowd of school supporters and Mardi Gras enthusiasts.

Baby Boomer Conference & Business Expo


A fun and informative annual event, many of the booths will dress as they did in the 50's, 60's, and 70's.The event focuses on the needs of Baby Boomers, community education and is the Business Showcase event of the year. Educators ranged from doctors, lawyers, investments and mortgage professionals. The event has grown from year to year & as of 2013 hosted 100 business & not for profit vendors, and over 3,000 people in attendance.

Artfaire: Arts & Crafts Show


The first arts & crafts show of the year features items such as pottery, jewelry, woodworking, candles, paintings, clothes, and much more. Do a little spring shopping and browse through the isles of the Artfaire.The event also includes an auction in the lobby benefitting Embrace Inc.

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast


The Annual Pancake Breakfast is the Roswell Kiwanis Club's biggest fundraiser.
The pancake flippers feed over 1,300 attendees. Proceeds from the breakfast benefits children and youth programs in Roswell, including the Key Club, Builders Club and BUG (Bringing UP Grades) programs.

Denim & Diamonds


Denim & Diamonds is hosted by the Historical Foundation for Southeast New Mexico. This annual banquet and dance honors a family in Chaves County whose history is tied to agriculture. Reservations are required to attend.

Celebrate the Arts Day


Attendees can view elementary student art exhibits and enjoy performances by kinder through sixth grade students of the Roswell Independent School District. Attendees are also able to participate in free visual and performing arts activities.

Valley Vintage Car Show


Cool cars, great people and awesome food vendors. Enjoy a day in the sun while looking at some of the hottest wheels around. The car show is open to all years, makes and models of vehicles.

UFO Festival Guest Speakers


The International UFO Museum and Research Center brings out of this world UFOlogists, UFO enthusiasts and authors to the UFO Festival! The guest speakers present their topics and experiences in the exhibit hall and/or breakout rooms. A guest speaker panel commences in the evening which allows members of the audience to ask questions.

Alien Chase 5k/10k Run/Walk

 
Come join the fun at the Annual UFO Roswell Alien Chase 10k and 5k. Colorful t-shirts and awards for overall male/female in each of the 4 contested distances, as well as 1,2,3 in age groups 10 under through 70+. Sponsored by UFO Museum & Research Center/Roswell Runners Club/Roswell Recreation Department.

Pet & Human Costume Contest


Every year the Alien Costume Contest grows and the competition gets tougher. With this world renowned event, you are guaranteed a great time! All ages and costumes are invited to enter. There is no charge to enter! With a costume for pets in the morning and the adults in the early evening – it is a great day of fun and entertainment! Pets are required to be restrained in some way and owners must clean up after their pets.

Alien Open Dart Tournament


Professional and amateur dart players come to Roswell to compete for a $10,000 payout and other prizes at the annual Alien Open Dart Tournament. There are 11 events during the tournament. Proceeds of the event will go to a charitable organization.
 

Heritage Dinner


The annual Heritage Dinner presents an award to longtime residents who have contributed to the area in a positive manner over a long period of time. This award dinner is one of the longest running events in the area. the event includes a reception, silent auction, dinner, and a cash bar. Reservations are required to attend.

Chile Cheese Festival


Follow the aroma of fresh roasting chile to Roswell for the annual Chile Cheese Festival held in September. The event highlights the area's farming industry through events ranging from ristra workshops and bus tours to Leprino Foods, "The World's Largest Mozzarella Cheese Plant," along with family fun and entertainment, arts and crafts, delicious food and a farmers’ and gardeners’ Market.

Gem & Mineral Show


The Chaparral Rock Hounds host their annual Gem & Mineral Show at the Roswell Convention & Civic Center. This show offers jewelry, cabochons, minerals, faceted stones, rough rock, fossils. There will be live demonstrations of sphere making, beading and gemtrees. With a kids corner and silent auction, this event is fun for attendees of all ages!

Wilson-Cobb History and Genealogy Library Workshop


For people who are interested in family history but don't know where to start, there is the Wilson-Cobb History and Genealogy Library right here in Roswell. Each year at the workshop, there is a different genealogical lecturer that speaks on a featured topic. You must register in order to attend this workshop.

Yucca Fall Festival


The Yucca Recreation Staff presents the annual Fall Festival. Costumes are welcome.The festival is filled with game booths, face painting, a costume contest, cake walk, and the creepy crawly corner sponsored by the Friends of the Zoo and of course, lots of candy.This is a free family focused, and is open to the public.

Pecos Valley Potters Guild


PVPG Art Sale is an annual three-day event featuring various art medias including pottery, clay, jewelry, print, metal, wood, fiber and more. Each year, the guild selects quality guests artists working in a variety of media to participate in the sale, with an emphasis placed on unique and original art and fine crafts.

Christmas Showcase


At the annual showcase, attendees will learn a variety of gift-giving ideas that are easy to create, as well as making inexpensive Christmas decorations. There will also be a booth dedicated to showing people how to repurpose something old in their house to make it new again, such as creating caddies out of old coffee mugs. Attendees will receive a program booklet that contains recipes and patterns. There will also be refreshments available.

Holly-Day Magic is a wonderful art and craft fair, held the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving every year at the Roswell Convention & Civic Center. All vendors are juried into insure that it is a top quality show. The proceeds to benefit Roswell PAL.

Christmas Fantasy Arts and Crafts Fair


Local vendors put on the arts and crafts fair a week after Thanksgiving where attendees can kick off the holiday shopping season with unique hand made gifts. Vendors offer a little bit of everything for everyone. There is also a silent auction offered in the lobby.

All Civic Club Luncheon


The annual event, sponsored by the Roswell Kiwanis Club, brings together the city’s groups for a day of fellowship and networking. The luncheon gives all civic club's the opportunity to share how they have helped the community. Tickets must be purchased to attend this event.

Rio Pecos Medical Reindeer Run 10K & 2 mile


The annual Reindeer Run consists of a 10K run, a 2-mile run, a 10K walk and 2-mile walk. Sponsored by Rio Pecos Medical Associates, the event raises money for food charities throughout Roswell.
