Caleb Troy Grant was born and raised in Roswell and is a third generation Roswellite. Growing up he was very active in sports, playing basketball, baseball and football. Councilor Grant was also active in the youth at Berrendo Baptist Church where his father, Troy Grant is the pastor. He attended New Mexico Boys State in 2003 and graduated from Goddard High School in 2004. After graduation he relocated to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico. Councilor Grant took a job with Nalco Chemical as a contractor where worked at the Intel Rio Rancho facility.
In 2007 he married his wife, Emily Alpers Grant, also of Roswell. While finishing up college he worked his way up to management with Nalco and covered seven states with their service division. In 2009 he completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and decided to make the move back home to Roswell. At the end of 2009, Councilor Grant and Mrs. Grant came back to Roswell and opened an insurance agency with Farm Bureau Financial Services.
Councilor Grant started his agency from scratch and states that he has ‘truly been blessed’ here in Roswell. In 2010, he earned the rookie agent of the year and overall agency of the year. In 2011, he was awarded the top home insurance agent for New Mexico.
Once back in Roswell, he coached many youth sports alongside family and friends. Councilor Grant also coached the Gateway Christian School high school boys basketball team along with his father, Troy Grant, from 2010-2012.
Councilor Grant and Mrs. Grant have two sons, Hudson (4) and Jacob (1). Mrs. Grant works alongside Councilor Grant at their Farm Bureau Insurance Agency. The Grant’s attend Christ Church and Berrendo Baptist Church.
