The Roswell Fire Department staff provides treatment for medical emergencies. All of the fire engines in the city are staffed with EMT-B certified personnel and the tools necessary to provide emergency care to accident victims. EMS represents a vast majority of the calls The Roswell Fire Department handles.
The fire department currently has 13 paramedics, 40 EMT-Intermediates, with the remainder being EMT-Basics. The personnel of the organization are highly trained and dedicated to provide the best customer service possible.
The EMS division is tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
Providing advanced and basic life support services for Roswell's citizens
Coordinating medical education and training
Meeting certification standards required by the state
Evaluating new procedures to stay on the cutting edge of pre-hospital delivery of patient care.
