Splash pad open for spring/summer season

Splash Pad

The Murphy Family Splash Pad will be open for the spring/summer season from Saturday, May 26, through Labor Day, Sept. 3.

The splash pad at Poe Corn Park (along East Second Street just east of Garden Avenue) is open every day (with occasional one-day closures for maintenance) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until the first day of classes for Roswell schools (Aug. 9). From the first day of school through Labor Day (Sept. 3), the splash pad will be open only on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), with the hours remaining the same, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Murphy Family Splash Pad – named for the family of Bert and Martha Murphy, a major donor for the project – opened in 2016 and features numerous water features for children and adults to enjoy while cooling off. Use of the splash pad is free to the public. The splash pad rules can be reviewed at http://roswell-nm.gov/795/The-Murphy-Family-Splash-Pad
