Guess the Gummies Contest (ages 0-12) –
How Many “Book” Worms are in the Librarian’s Stomach? Go into the Children’s Area and guess how many gummy “book” worms are in the jar. Whoever gets the closest guess by Friday, April 14 gets to take home the jar of gummies!
Love Your Library Social Media Show and Tell Contest (all ages)–
Head over to Facebook and/or Instagram to tell us why you love your library! Post a picture or a comment about what you love the most about the library. Make sure to hashtag #RPLtransforms on Instagram and tag us on your Facebook post. Participants will be added into a random drawing for a Fierce Reads Coloring Book. Creativity is encouraged. While the Institute has a long history of engaging the Roswell Museum and its holdings, NMMI also has its own significant collection of art and historical objects, including paintings, prints, and sculpture. Encompassing works created by both faculty and alumni, as well as prominent southwestern artists such as Laura Gilpin and Kenneth Miller Adams, this collection is an important facet of Roswell’s vast cultural heritage, and emphasizes the Institute’s ongoing interest and commitment to art as well as education. In recognition of NMMI’s 125th anniversary, this exhibit will showcase the school’s art collection, and highlight the Institute’s interaction with the Roswell Museum.
