  1. Easter Train

    April 15, 2017, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Spring River Park & Zoo

    The Roswell Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring the First Annual Easter Bunny Train. Roswell’s Easter Bunny along with his friends are getting ready for the Easter Train scheduled at Spring River Park and Zoo on Saturday, April 15, 2017. The event will cost $3 a person and children 2 and under get in free and it will start at 10:00am and last until 2:00pm. The event promises to be fun and festive and will include refreshments, pictures with the Easter Bunny, games for all ages and prizes which include sack races, spoon race hula hoop contest and an egg toss. There will be free jumpers for the kids to play in after they ride the train. Egg coloring will be taking place along with the showing of a popular children’s Easter movie that will be shown at 10:30am and 12:30pm.   1. National Library Week Contests!

    Guess the Gummies Contest (ages 0-12) – How Many “Book” Worms are in the Librarian’s Stomach? Go into the Children’s Area and guess how many gummy “book” worms are in the jar. Whoever gets the closest guess by Friday, April 14 gets to take home the jar of gummies! Love Your Library Social Media Show and Tell Contest (all ages)– Head over to Facebook and/or Instagram to tell us why you love your library! Post a picture or a comment about what you love the most about the library. Make sure to hashtag #RPLtransforms on Instagram and tag us on your Facebook post. Participants will be added into a random drawing for a Fierce Reads Coloring Book. Creativity is encouraged. Good luck!

Encompassing works created by both faculty and alumni, as well as prominent southwestern artists such as Laura Gilpin and Kenneth Miller Adams, this collection is an important facet of Roswell’s vast cultural heritage, and emphasizes the Institute’s ongoing interest and commitment to art as well as education. In recognition of NMMI’s 125th anniversary, this exhibit will showcase the school’s art collection, and highlight the Institute’s interaction with the Roswell Museum.
