Keep Roswell Beautiful

Keep Roswell Beautiful seeks to inspire and educate Roswell residents. If we all take action every day to improve and beautify our community our goal of living in a green, clean, and beautiful place will be achieved. In order to reach this goal there is a focus on three main areas: ending litter, improving recycling practices, and beautification projects. Take a look at a few of our 2019 projects and upcoming projects in 2020.

Keep Roswell Beautiful Brochure

This brochure was created to help share the initiatives, programs, and events of Keep Roswell Beautiful. It also gives citizens a few tips and steps to take to help keep our city beautiful!

CleanIT! Form

Keep Roswell Beautiful launched this initiative in March of 2020. While city workers are continually on the lookout for litter and other trash trouble areas that need to be addressed, one of the most efficient ways for the city to learn about areas in need of some care is from local residents who see these types of situations in their own neighborhoods and other areas of town where they travel regularly.

Keep Roswell Beautiful and the City of Roswell’s Community Development Department are working to keep the community looking good and would like the public’s help in reporting public areas that are in need of a cleanup to remove litter and other trash.

A Community Development cleanup team will regularly be assigned to clean up the areas reported through the CleanIT Form. It should be noted, however, the teams cannot do cleanup on private property.

Keep Roswell Beautiful appreciates the public’s help in reporting areas in need of cleanup so everyone can enjoy a clean, safe and well-kept community.

Our Projects

Recycled Art Project Pop-Up

In October of 2019 Keep Roswell Beautiful was able to partner with the Roswell Museum and Art Center (RMAC)  to create a mural made entirely of bottle caps. Families who visited the Science and Art Festival, hosted by RMAC, had a part in turning bottle caps into a beautiful mural displayed in Pioneer Plaza. As families stopped by the KRB booth they received information and handouts on plastic usage and how to reduce plastic usage.

Shop Small Street Sweep

Keep Roswell Beautiful teamed up with the Roswell Chamber of Commerce, Hispano Chamber of Commerce, and MainStreet Roswell to help support local business owners. Volunteers cleaned store fronts, swept, cleared side walks, and cleaned windows. This was all in preparation for Shop Small Saturday. This November 2019 event helped make sure these store owners were ready for a busy day of shoppers! This event was made possible through breakfast donated by McDonald's and cleaning supplies from Starr Janitorial.

Arbor Day Seedling Giveaway Drive-thru

Keep Roswell Beautiful and the Parks department worked together to put on the annual Arbor Day event. Hundreds of seedlings were given away to families as they drove through Cahoon Park and received their seedlings and plant care information in a Keep Roswell Beautiful tote. To view a list of the plants we gave away in 2020 click here.

This event is to help promote a green and beautiful Roswell. We believe planting trees and shrubs year after year helps create a more beautiful Roswell one household at a time. We are excited for the event in 2021 and hope to have our full slate activities like a planting demonstration, story time with the Roswell Public Library, peanutbutter pinecone making with Spring River Zoo staff and other fun activities.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in helping plan the 2021 Arbor Day celebration contact program coordinator, Thalia Pantoja by email or call 575-637-6238.
