Roswell Police Department Now Hiring!

Support a community that supports you! RPD is hiring non-certified police recruits and certified police officers. Starting pay for uncertified applicants starts at $19.09 and is increased within the first year. 

Certified Officer service and experience is recognized and reflected in pay.

Benefits

The Roswell Police Department has competitive benefits and pay! 

  • Defined benefit pension program
  • 20-year pay scale
  • Take-home vehicle 
  • Work week of four 10-hour shifts and three days off.
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus (Laterals Only)
  • $1,000 moving expense reimbursement (for those who qualify)

Pay & Incentives

Pay for officers can vary and our department has many incentives to increase your own pay! 

  • Certified Level 1 Officer: $24.00 to $34.96 and $49,935.60 to $72,733.96
  • Level 2 Officer: $24.97 to 36.3872 which is $51,940.20 to $75.685.48
  • Level 3 Officer: $25.98 to $37.84 and $54,054.78 capped at $75,725.40
  • Swing Shift Differential: $0.75/ hour 
  • Midnight Shift Differential: $1.00/ hour
  • Police Service Aid: $15.68 or $32,614.66
  • Police Recruit: $20.69 or $43,048.98
