Spring Break Camp

March 14-18

For Ages 4-12

Join zoo staff for spring break day camps. All five camps will include games, educational activities, a guided zoo tour and animal encounters, along with lunch and a snack. Camps for ages 4-6 will be March 14th and 15th from 8 a.m. to noon. Themed camps for ages 7-12 will be March 16th (Zookeeper 101), March 17th (Enrichment) and March 18th (Conservation Day) and run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. $25.00 for 4-6 year old camps. $35.00 for 7-12 year old camps. 4-6 YEAR OLDS 

Monday,  March 14th and Tuesday, March 15th

8 am - 12 pm   $25/day (Members $20)

Camp with a focus on animal adaptations with animal-themed crafts, stories and games. Includes a guided tour of the zoo and an encounter with one of our animals!

7-12 YEAR OLDS

Wednesday,  March 16th - Friday , March 18th

8 am - 3 pm  $35/day (Members $30)


Day 1: Zookeeper 101 Day March 16th

Have you ever wondered what a zookeeper does every day? This day will focus on the everyday job of a zookeeper. This camp includes educational activities, games and a guided tour of the zoo! Campers will learn about animal habitats and diets, then they will have the opportunity to prepare a diet for one of the animals here at the zoo!

Day 2: Enrichment Day March 17th

Keeping animals entertained is a full-time job! Learn how keepers create enrichment for different zoo animals and the challenges that come with it! This camp includes educational activities, games and a guided tour of the zoo! Campers will have the opportunity to create an enrichment item for one of the animals here at the zoo and watch the keeper place it in their enclosure for the animal to interact with!

Day 3: Conservation Day March 18th

One job of every zoo is to educate the public on the importance of conservation! This camp includes educational activities, games and a guided tour of the zoo! Campers will learn about ways they can help conserve species in their own backyards! We have also have a guest speaker from Desert Willow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to talk to campers about their jobs as a wildlife rehabilitator!
