The Roswell Museum and the RMAC Foundation, in partnership with the Pecos Valley Potters Guild invite artists, artisans, contemporary craftspeople and makers to apply to be a part of the first annual Roswell Museum Holiday Artisan Market. The Market is a juried art exhibition and sale to be held at the Roswell Museum showcasing more than 40 artists, artisans and makers from around the region. The event will run December 3 through December 18 and will include a festive opening night reception. Sales will be split 60/40 between the artist and the Foundation in benefit of the Roswell Museum. Artists from New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado, representing a variety of fine, decorative and functional art and craft are eligible to apply.
A variety of price points will be sought ranging from affordable gifts ($20 to $100) up through higher-end art/craft ($1200 to approximately $2500). The Market will be arranged like an exhibition with multiple works by each participating artist on display in a gallery with a label about their background and work.
A silent auction with items donated by participating artists and other contributions will be available for patrons to bid on in-person and online with proceeds split with the Pecos Valley Potters Guild and the RMAC Foundation.
To apply, please submit an application through the Art Café portal here along with a $35 application fee and images representing 3 items per category for which you wish to be considered. Include an overall image and an optional second image of a detail or alternative view for each item. Items should be representative of the type of items you will be providing if selected, but need not be the same.
The deadline to apply has been extended to November 1!
