January 13 - Collage: The Martie Way
Help us remember our friend Martie Zelt and make some of her favorite type of art, collage. Susana Jacobson wrote about the connection between Zelt’s constructions and the surrounding landscape: “The resulting configurations resemble at times an aerial view of land.” Artist, teacher and Miniature Museum Co-Founder, Elaine Howe will be our special guest instructor
February 10 - Card Shop
This one goes out the one I... love, like, kinda sorta think is cool?? Make and take cards for anyone you like! Join artist, master scrapbooker, and Miniature Museum Co-Founder Nancy Fleming for her annual cardmaking extraveganza!!!
March 9 - Look to the Sky
Learn about the different names and constellations various cultures came up with for the same ones we see and know by other names. Create your own star charts and constellation names and then check out a free planetarium show! The storybook, Crow Moon, Worm Moon by James Skofield will be read aloud at 10:30 a.m. by Planetarium Coordinator Jeremy Howe.
Second Saturdays offer free museum admission to Roswell residents along with an art or science activity from 10 am to 1 pm. A free, kid-friendly planetarium show is offered at 11 am. Non-residents may participate with museum admission.
