Many city residents have the opportunity in March and April to get rid of their spring-cleaning large-item trash without charge during the annual March Out the Trash event.
The City of Roswell Solid Waste Department, assisted by Keep Roswell Clean and Beautiful, will host the 2022 event during four Saturdays for the collection of electronics, household goods and appliances.
March Out the Trash 2022 Collection Points
March 12, 7 a.m.-noon:Wool Bowl, 1800 N. Grand Ave.
March 26, 7 a.m.-noon:Elks Pool, Southeast Main Street (south of East Poe Street)
April 2, 7 a.m.-2 p.m.: Roswell Solid Waste Department, 3006 W. Brasher Rd. (Note: Gate will close at 1:30 p.m., and residents must provide identification and a current utility bill)
The March Out the Trash project will not accept tires, shingles, construction materials, asbestos, liquids and batteries. Large appliances will be accepted only during the April 2 event at the landfill.
Acceptable electronic items include things such as computer monitors and towers, printers, microwaves, toasters, TVs, VCRs and radios. Among acceptable household goods are bed frames, mattresses, home or office furniture, tables and chairs.
Each March Out the Trash event is weather-permitting.
