Curbside Trash Collection


Regulations


  • Where there is curbside collection, the City provides free 90-gallon roll-outs
  • Place your roll-out container at the curb or front of the driveway by 5:00 am on pick-up day
  • Do not place containers out more than 12 hours before your pick-up day
  • All waste must be bagged to prevent litter
  • Flammables, liquids, construction debris, large items, and dirt should not be placed in containers

Schedule


Collections are twice weekly based on which half of the City you live in:

  • Monday and Thursday: Residential properties South of Alameda Street, including the RIAC
  • Tuesday and Friday: Residential properties North of Alameda Street

Alley Trash Collection


Regulations


  • Where there is alley collection service, the City provides 300-gallon containers, centrally located in the alley for up to 4 households
  • Place your last bag of garbage in the 300-gallon container by 5:00 am on pick-up day
  • All waste must be bagged to prevent litter
  • Flammables, liquids, construction debris, large items, and dirt should not be placed in containers
  • Please do not move the containers

Schedule


Collections are twice weekly based on which half of the City you live in:

  • Monday and Thursday: Residential properties South of Alameda Street
  • Tuesday and Friday: Residential properties North of Alameda Street

Fees


Residential service is collected twice a week. The fees are attached to the monthly City water bill.

  • Household trash $21.27/month
  • Bulk collection (done by grapple truck)
    • Full truckload (more than half full)  $150.84
    • Half a truckload (more than a quarter full)  $79.79
    • A quarter of a truckload or less  $37.71
