Summer Reading Program

The Roswell Public Library invites you to participate in the 2022 Summer Reading Program: Oceans of Possibilities. The two month reading program begins Monday, June 6th and concludes on Saturday, July 23rd.

Beginning 11 am, on June 6, come in and sign up at the Roswell Public Library registration table and pick up your swag bag.  

As soon as you sign up you may begin reading library books and tracking your reading online at or on a paper form included in your swag bag.

Weekly Prizes

Earn one prize per week of the program.

  • Children listening or reading picture books earn a prize from the treasure chest for checking out and reading 10 picture books per week. 
  • Children reading chapter books from the Juvenile Fiction collection earn a prize from the treasure chest for reading 1 book per week.
  • Teens reading books from the main collection or the Young Adult collection earn a ticket for a weekly drawing for a gift card.
  • Adults reading books from the main collection earn a ticket for a weekly drawing for a gift card as well.

Grand Prize Drawing

  • Children who have earned six punches in their SRP card will be entered in the grand prize drawing to win a Kindle Fire.
  • The Grand Prize drawing will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022.  You need not be present to win.  
  • All prizes must be picked up by Saturday, July 30th.

Summer Reading Program Kick off Party
Monday, June 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

This is the first day to sign up for the Roswell Public Library Summer Reading Program. Pick up a swag bag, enjoy a snow cone and check out books to start earning prizes.

Rocky Mountain Puppets - Meghan Casey
Wednesday, June 15, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Aidan isn't feeling quite like himself and isn't sure why, so Meghan planned the perfect vacation! Then everything that could go wrong HAS gone wrong, and Meghan and Aidan are stranded on an island. Now there is an ocean of possibilities. Sponsored by the United Way Foundation in honor of Robert Armstrong.

Pirate Dogs of the Sea - Denise Gard
Thursday, June 23, 10:30 a.m.

Denise Gard's famous Border Collies, Joey and Kira, are hunting for treasure upon the seven seas when they become shipwrecked. Join us for an action-packed program full of dog tricks.

Ocean Devotion - Spring River Zoo
Thursday, June 30, 11 a.m.

Meet Kevin the Pot-Bellied Pig and learn about keeping our waters clean through upcycling.

Oils Pastels with Tasia Ramage
Thursday, July 7, 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Registration required. This one-hour art session is limited to 20 children. Supplies will be provided.

Painting with Miranda Howe
Thursday, July 14, 10 a.m.

Registration required. This two-hour painting session is limited to 24 children. Supplies will be provided.

Aspen Black Ukulele Program
Thursday, July 21, 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Registration required. Learn to play the Ukulele. No experience necessary, and Ukeleles are provided. Each session is limited to 30 people.
