Sanctions


The following sanctions may be imposed for violation of the Roswell Public Library Internet Access Policy:

First Offense


Failure to comply with this policy may result in the suspension of computer/Internet Library privileges for a period of one week and may include any appropriate legal action including criminal prosecution.

Second Offense


Suspension of computer/internet Library privileges for a period of thirty (30) days and may include any appropriate legal action including criminal prosecution

Third Offense


Permanent suspension of computer/internet Library privileges and may include any appropriate legal action including criminal prosecution.

An individual that has Library computer/Internet privileges permanently suspended may petition the Library Board Trustees for reinstatement of computer/Internet privileges after a period of one (1) year from the date of suspension. Reinstatement of Library computer/Internet privileges is at the sole discretion of the Library Board Trustees.

Policy Review


It is the intent of the Roswell Public Library Board of Trustees that this policy shall be reviewed once a year during the month of May to determine any modifications as may be required by law or technological changes.
