Biography

I graduated from Goddard High School and Eastern New Mexico University. For 22 years I worked for Transportation Manufacturing Corporation (TMC) and Nova Bus at the Roswell Air Center.

Community Involvement

For the past 20 years I have worked for the New Mexico Department of Transportation. I started working as Quality Manager with the responsibility of improving our processes and procedures. I was later promoted to District Administrator in charge of finance. Since 2012, I have been the General Business Manager for District 2, which covers 7,500 center lane miles. My position includes implementing cost effective ways to balance a multimillion-dollar budget and special legislative appropriations, as well as handling all business aspects while working with our engineering team.

Coached youth football for four years. Coached little league baseball for ten years, VP of the League. Served as in Big Brother program. Umpire for City tournaments. Volunteer for Hike It & Spike It and Gus Macker. Worked with at-risk youth and served as a mentor.

Family

My wife Kathryn and I have four grown children and six grandchildren. We enjoy traveling the great outdoors, hunting, hiking, fishing, watching baseball, and home remodeling as hobbies.
