The Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center was opened in 2019. The facility offers a variety or indoor, outdoor and aquatic activities. There are two swimming pools, two outdoor water slides, and the indoor pool is heated. Inside there are two full court basketball gym, a workout area, multiple rooms for various recreation activities.

Roswell Independent School District has over 21 campuses located throughout the city with a total of 10,510 students. There are also private school options as well as a charter school. Roswell is also home to New Mexico Military Institute a prestigious high school and junior college and Eastern New Mexico University- Roswell the top nursing program in the state.
