Exhibition Overview
What is a book? While Kindles, ebooks, and other technologies have made our definition of a book increasingly broad, chances are most of us would say that a book is an object containing written text. Yet the book is also a versatile and often personal art form, and many artists have embraced its historical function as a means of communication for creative ends. The Art of the Book explores the diverse world of contemporary book arts in New Mexico, and will feature the work of several artists. Uniting these diverse works is a love of the book as both an art form and a means of expression.
