“Currently we are manipulating our collaborative drawings into new designs for sculpture using digitally printed satin. Many of our works reside where the boundaries of painting, sculpture and drawing converge or collapse, living out a duality between worlds. Drawing and the method of collage have been integral to the development of our visual language regardless of the materials we have used. Our work thematically tends to deal with how our generation relates to gender, identity, relationships and stress in the contemporary world, often utilizing our own personal experience and a sense of humor. We look for the possibilities that our relationship brings that are not present when we work alone, trying to deal with collaboration in all of its complexities. These complexities positively drive our creativity.”
