Exhibition Overview
Pulled from the Museum vaults, this exhibit features a selection of landscape drawings, sketches, and watercolors spanning from the late nineteenth through the twentieth centuries. Viewers will encounter landscapes in a variety of styles and subjects, from the meticulous graphite drawings of Peter Moran, to the more abstract works of John Marin and Andrew Dasburg.

Whether painted, sketched, or drawn, these landscapes on paper emphasize the creativity of the Southwest as a cultural hub, highlighting both the geographic variety of this region and the stylistic eclecticism within the RMAC collection. From pencil to pastel, watercolor to ink, come see how our artists have rendered the landscape around them.
