Have you recently come across a significant pothole on a city street? Did a property overgrown with weeds catch your eye? Do you know of a vehicle that appears to have been abandoned and remains sitting on public property? The City of Roswell wants to know about issues such as these and offers its citizens a convenient online system to report such things.

While city workers are continually on the lookout for situations that need to be checked on and addressed, one of the most efficient ways for the city to learn about issues in need of some care is from local residents who see these types of things in their own neighborhoods and other areas of town where they travel regularly.

One way the city facilitates this communication is through the FixIT Form on the city website. When someone fills out the form to report a problem or concern, the information is directed to the appropriate city department and personnel so the situation can be properly handled. When using the form, a citizen can select from a variety of issue topics and give a brief description and the location of the situation.

The FixIT Form is found on the city website (www.roswell-nm.gov) under the “How Do I…” tab in the menu bar across the top of the homepage. In the tab, go to the “Submit” section and choose “Concerns” to pull up the FixIT Form. The direct link to the form is found here.

The website also enhances direct communication between the city and its citizens by offering people the opportunity to sign up to receive text and email notifications of News Flashes posted on the site, as well as be notified when new meeting agendas or minutes are available, event calendars are updated or a new bid invitation is put out for goods and service providers. Users can pick and choose what they want to be notified of and select which specific departments, committees and boards from which to receive the notifications.

The sign-up page is reached by clicking on the “Notify Me” button on the homepage or by going to the “How Do I…” tab in the menu bar across the top of the homepage. In the tab, go to the “Sign Up For” section and choose “Notifications.”  The direct link to the page is found here.
