[ARCHIVED] Could this be your newest addition to the family?

adoptable pet

This friendly adult female pit bull (pictured) is waiting for her new family. If you think she might be right for you, please visit her at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. This dog’s impound number is 5101. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

There are some holiday and wintertime items that can present dangers to pets. Please don’t let your pets get into wrapped gifts containing food, snow globes, holiday food such as chocolate, uncooked poultry, bread dough, fruitcake and alcohol, salt in ice melt, homemade play dough and salt-dough ornaments.
