[ARCHIVED] Friendly dog awaits good home

adopt pet

This 1-year-old female pit bull (pictured) is ready to be adopted into a good home. You can visit this friendly dog at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. Her impound number is 5272. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (Call to check on exceptions for the upcoming holidays.) You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or use the link below to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Avoid impulsive decisions when selecting a pet. Select a pet that’s suited to your home and lifestyle. Keep only the type and number of pets for which you can provide appropriate food, water, shelter, health care and companionship.
