[ARCHIVED] Is she right for you?

adopt pet

This is a 1-year-old female husky (pictured) eager to join a family. You can visit her at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. Her impound number is 5342. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (Call to check on exceptions for the upcoming holidays.) You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go online to http://roswell-nm.gov/176/Animal-Services to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Provide appropriate exercise and mental stimulation for your pet. Make sure your pet receives preventive health care (vaccinations, parasite control, etc.), as well as care for any illnesses or injuries.
