[ARCHIVED] Ready for your new dog?

adopt pet

This male German shepherd (pictured) is 1 year old. You can visit him at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. The impound number is 5339. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go online to http://roswell-nm.gov/176/Animal-Services to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Clean up after your pet. Don’t allow your pet to stray or become feral (wandering around without limits and supervision). Properly socialize and train your pet.
