[ARCHIVED] A new-pet possibility

adopt pet

This is a female mixed pit bull. She is 4 years old and looking for her new home. You can visit her at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. The impound number is 5386. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go online to http://roswell-nm.gov/176/Animal-Services to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Obey all local ordinances, including licensing, leash requirements and noise control. Make sure your pet is properly identified (i.e., tags, microchips or tattoos) and keep its registration up to date.
