[ARCHIVED] In search of her new home

adopt pet

This female pit bull is 3 years old and ready to join a family or individual. You can visit her at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. The impound number is 5533. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go online to http://roswell-nm.gov/176/Animal-Services to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Make alternate arrangements if you can no longer provide care for your pet. Recognize any decline in your pet’s quality of life and make timely decisions in consultation with a veterinarian.
