[ARCHIVED] Waiting for your visit

adopt pet

This female German shepherd mix is ready for her new home. She is 1 year old. You can visit her at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. The impound number is 5684. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go online to http://roswell-nm.gov/176/Animal-Services to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

You and your family members should decide who will be responsible for your pet’s food, water, walking, exercise, cleanup and grooming. Post a schedule of tasks in a visible area of the house to remind everyone of their responsibilities.
