[ARCHIVED] A personable pit bull

Adopt Of The Week (week of 3-27-17) (website)

This male pit bull is 2 years old. He is eager to find his new home. You can visit him at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. The impound number is 6389. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go to http://roswell-nm.gov/176/Animal-Services to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Give your new dog time to adjust to his new home. The dog is bound to feel insecure and frightened by a change in environment. Show him to his crate or bed, and where to find food and water. Then leave him alone to explore the new surroundings.
