[ARCHIVED] The perfect puppy for you?

Adopt Of The Week (week of 4-24-17) (website)

This young male heeler is looking for a good family to grow up with. He is just 6 months old. You can visit him at the Roswell Animal Shelter at 705 E. McGaffey St. The impound number is 6702. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. You can call the shelter at (575) 624-6722 or go to to learn more about adoption requirements.

People are encouraged to consider adopting an animal from the shelter, but please remember having a pet is a long-term commitment and should be made only if you are able to properly care for the animal.

Tip of the Week:

Whichever method of housetraining you have chosen - crate training, paper training or litter box - make sure that all members of the family enforce it consistently. Accidents happen, so have a procedure for clean-up.
