[ARCHIVED] Runners and walkers can enter Alien Chase

The City of Roswell Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the Alien Chase Saturday, July 1. The event will begin at 7 a.m. at the Roswell Convention and Civic Center at 912 N. Main. The Alien Chase includes a 10K run, 10K walk, 5K run, and a 5K walk. Participants in each race will compete in nine age divisions for men and women. Age divisions are 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-70, and 70 and over. Overall men’s and women’s winners in each race will receive awards. First- through third-place finishers in each age group will receive medals. Commemorative “70th Anniversary of UFO Crash” T-shirts will be given to all participants and drawings for door prizes will take place following the races. Entry forms are available at the Roswell Adult and Recreation Center at 807 N. Missouri or online at active.com. Registration on race day will be from 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. at the convention center. Packet pick up will be June 30 at the convention center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. or on race day morning from 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Pre-registration cost for the races is $30 (plus tax) through June 30.
