[ARCHIVED] Man arrested, charged with shooting neighbor

A Roswell man was arrested after allegedly shooting his neighbor during an argument in the street outside their homes the evening of June 25 in the 100 block of South Ash Street in east Roswell.

Ernest Paul Lisenbee Jr., 30, was detained by Roswell Police Department detectives after he was found hiding in a closet inside his home during the investigation following the shooting, which occurred around 6:15 p.m. Lisenbee (pictured) was questioned by investigators at the police station and was later arrested. He is charged with aggravated battery, receiving stolen property (a stolen firearm was found in his possession), felon in possession of a firearm, and a probation violation.

The shooting victim, a 34-year-old man, was transported by emergency medical personnel to a local hospital in serious condition. About an hour later, he was flown to another hospital for further treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery.
