The Roswell Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting the Annual Turtle Marathon on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017.  The marathon and ½ marathon portion of the event will begin at 5:30am at Cahoon Park located at 1100 W. 4th. The Turtle Marathon consists of a competitive Marathon, ½ Marathon, 5k run, and a 5k walk. Participants will compete in nine age divisions for both men and women in all events. Age divisions are 10 & Under,11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-70, and 70 and over. Overall winners male and female in both races will receive awards. First through third place finishers will receive medals in each age group. T-shirts will be given to all participants and drawings for door prizes will take place following the race. Entry forms are available at the Roswell Adult & Recreation Center located at 807 N. Missouri or online at active.com Registration on race day will be from 6:30am - 7:30am for the 5k races at the Parks & Recreation offices located in Cahoon Park. Pre-registration fee for the race is $30.00 on or before Sept. 1, 2017 or $35.00 on race day. Packet pick up will be Sept. 1 at the Parks & Recreation Offices from 4:00pm - 6:00pm  or on race day morning from 6:30am - 7:30am for the 5K races.
