[ARCHIVED] Parts of Spring River Recreational Trail to close a few days for repairs

Portions of the Spring River Recreational Trail will be closed during daytime hours on a few upcoming days so crews can repair cracks in the asphalt.

The portion of the trail that runs through Enchanted Lands Park, between Sycamore Avenue and the west end of Riverside Drive, will be closed Wednesday and Thursday (Jan. 10-11). A portion at the east end of the trail, between Atkinson and Garden avenues, will be closed Friday (Jan. 12) and Tuesday (Jan. 16).

The repair work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Even during the project days, those portions of the trail being repaired will be open in the evenings. The full trail will also be open all day and evening the weekend of Jan. 13-14, as well as on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, Jan. 15).
