[ARCHIVED] Runners, walkers getting ready for Alien Chase

The City of Roswell Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the 25th Annual Alien Chase Saturday, July 6.

The Alien Chase features a 10K run, 10K walk, 5K run and a 5K walk. Participants in each race will compete in nine age divisions for men and women. All races will start at 7 a.m. at the Roswell Adult and Recreation Center at 807 N. Missouri Ave.

Age divisions are 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Overall men’s and women’s winners in each race will receive awards. First- through third-place finishers in each age group will receive medals. Commemorative T-shirts will be given to all participants and drawings for door prizes will take place following the races.

Entry forms are available at the Roswell Adult and Recreation Center or online at active.com. Registration on race day will be from 6 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. at the center. Packet pick-up will be July 5 at the center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. or on race-day morning from 6 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Registration cost for each race is $30 (+tax) through July 5 and $35 (+tax) on race day.
