Roswell citizens are encouraged to attend a public meeting Tuesday, Sept. 13, and bring their ideas and input to share with city officials and representatives of the aquatic-architect firm that will design the community’s new aquatic center that is to be part of a proposed new city recreation center. Tuesday’s public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Roswell Public Library’s Bondurant Room. The library is located at 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Architects from the national aquatic facility design firm of Counsilman-Hunsaker will present an overview of aquatic facility options and innovations, including a review of aquatic facilities similar to what could be considered for Roswell. The presentation will offer an overview of possibilities that can be combined with local residents’ suggestions and desires as the architects work on the aquatic-center design. The aquatic center is intended to be part of the proposed recreation center, the location of which has been recommended to be Cielo Grande Recreation Area in west Roswell.
