From yoga and hula to line dancing, ballroom dancing and tap dancing, winter classes are lined up at the Roswell Adult Center. The wide variety of programs also includes Tae Kwon Do, Spanish, ceramics, glass art, stained glass and plenty more.
Registration for the winter-session classes will be open from Dec. 3, 2019, through Jan. 11, 2020. Classes will start the week of Jan. 13. A complete list of the class offerings, including the days and times of each, the cost, and how long they will run, can be viewed at roswell-nm.gov/780/Roswell-Adult-Center (click on RAC Class Offerings) or picked up at the Adult Center at 807 N. Missouri Ave. Interested participants can register online at roswellconnect.com.
Adult classes are open to ages 18 and older. Cost of classes ranges from $10.50 to $47.25 and supplies (needed in some classes) are extra.
Instructors are being sought for future programs. Fitness and dance instructors, artists, bilingual individuals, computer instructors, musicians, gardeners and others are invited to submit an application to teach classes at the center.
Meanwhile, the Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center has open gym hours and indoor gym walking times available. There is also a schedule of Fitness on Demand classes and Floyd Bell’s Aerobics classes available at the Recreation and Aquatic Center at 1402 W. College Blvd.
