[ARCHIVED] New K9 Unit now on duty making positive impact

K-9 Unit (April 2020)

The Roswell Police Department’s new K9 Unit is now on duty after these drug-detecting dogs and their handlers completed their training. The K9 Unit has already been called into action, helping investigators to locate drugs in a case that resulted in an arrest and the seizure of not only drugs, but cash and guns.

Left to right, K9 Officer Skye Wentland and K9 Kazan (a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix), Swing Shift Lt. Chris Bradley, K9 Coordinator Sgt. Jeff Prince and K9 Officer Ashley Wood and K9 Auda (a German Shepherd).

The K-9 handlers and K9s are now on patrol and working assigned shifts. The Roswell Police Department joins its K-9 handlers in thanking the community for its support and generous donations that funded this program.
