Roswell Fire Chief Devin Graham has announced he will retire Aug. 31. Chief Graham has more than 20 years of service with the Roswell Fire Department and has served as chief for almost six years. He was appointed interim chief in November 2014 and was named to the RFD top job on a permanent basis in June 2015. Graham served as the 18th chief in the department’s history.
Chief Graham was honored during the Roswell City Council’s Aug. 13 meeting. Mayor Dennis Kintigh presented him a plaque and thanked him for his many years of service.
Also retiring from the fire department Aug. 31 will be Deputy Chief Jason Sweatfield.
As RFD awaits the city administration to select a new fire chief, Fire Marshal Matt Miller will serve as interim chief.
