VolunteerFormHeader

Spring River Zoo is seeking volunteers eager to help the zoo with everything from cleanup to guest services to educational tours. As the zoo prepares for its upcoming reopening tentatively planned in December, volunteers will have the opportunity to play key roles in making this important local asset shine.

Interested volunteers need to complete a volunteer form that can be found here. That will connect to a webpage with more information about volunteering at the zoo and a link to the application form.

Volunteers younger than 18 need the signature of a parent or guardian on the application form. Anyone 18 and older is required to undergo a background check. Volunteers must provide proof of health insurance and sign a volunteer waiver.

A volunteer work day is planned for Dec. 5 as preparations are taking place for the zoo reopening. COVID-safe practices will be in place for the work day, including volunteers and staff undergoing temperature checks and wearing masks. Each work group will consist of no more than five people in a given area.

Following the reopening, Spring River Zoo plans to continue to use volunteers for regular tasks relating to operating, maintaining and improving the zoo.
