We have a low adoption fee of a $1 cash payment, as your expenses will primarily be associated with vaccination, microchip and spay/neuter requirements.
Pick the veterinarian of your choice, and prepay for rabies vaccination, microchipping and spaying/neutering services.
Bring the invoice in, along with the $1 adoption fee payment.
Dogs/Cats under 6 months: You'll have to sign an agreement to sterilize the animal, but you will be able to take your new friend home the same day.
Dogs/Cats 6 months and older: Animal Services will hold the animal until its veterinarian appointment. You can pick the animal up at the vet's office after the appointment is finished.

If your pet ends up at Animal Services, you are subject to a reclaim fee.
Come to the shelter and show some type of proof the animal is yours (pictures, veterinarian receipts). Pick the veterinarian of your choice, and prepay for rabies vaccination, microchipping and spaying/neutering services (or provide proof these services have been provided).
Pay the $40 reclaim fee.
Animal Services will hold the pet until the appointment. Once the appointment is complete, you can take your pet home from the veterinarian's office. Note: If vaccination, microchipping and spaying/neutering* has already taken place, you may take your pet home from Animal Services.
Every additional reclaim will increase the fee by $20; i.e. $60 for a second reclaim, $80 for a third, etc.
* - Spaying/neutering requirement waived if the pet is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) or United Kennel Club (UKC).

Animals available for adoption may be viewed in the kennel area each day beginning at 10 a.m. until the shelter closes for the day. The shelter is located at 705 E. McGaffey.

In-house, onsite food and beverage services will be provided exclusively by the Roswell Convention Center. The team at the Convention Center will work to create customized options that fit the taste and budget of any group. The food and beverage department can create menus to suit your group whether it’s a meeting for 20 or a gala for 800.

Visit the Roswell Public Library at 301 N. Pennsylvania and fill out the application. A photo identification and proof of residence in Roswell or Chaves County is required. A current driver's license fulfills both categories. See additional accepted forms here. Children under 14 will need a parent or guardian to apply for a card.
If you have a valid library card or technology card you can stop by the Internet sign up desk to reserve a terminal. Non-residents may request a guest pass. Users under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian permission for Internet access. Use is limited to one sign-in per day.
You can place a hold on an item that is currently held in the library by calling the Reference Desk, going to the Roswell Public Library's online catalog, or stopping by the Reference Desk in person.
Permits are not required to use a Roswell city park, but are recommended. Citizens with permits will receive priority over those without permits.
The sooner you get your permit, the better. A couple of weeks to a month is usually adequate time to reserve most areas, but you may want to reserve further in advance if you wish to use the park during a holiday.

Parks and Recreation does have a stage and sound equipment for rent. However, we do not rent sporting equipment such as volleyball nets, basketballs, rackets, tables, chairs, etc.
The 911 emergency system is intended for citizens to report serious situations and emergencies that require immediate response from police, fire or medical personnel. To request police response regarding non-emergencies, call 575-624-6770.

The state’s Concealed Handgun Carry law is found in sections 29-19-1 through 29-19-15.
Laws regarding weapons and explosives are found in sections 30-7-1 through 30-7-22.
Immediately stop your vehicle after the accident. If possible, position your vehicle in a place to reduce obstruction to other motorists.
You must provide your name, address and registration number to others involved in the accident, and show your driver's license if asked.
If somebody is injured, you must provide "reasonable assistance" to the victim, which can include calling for emergency help or taking the injured to receive medical care.
Any accident "resulting in bodily injury or death of any personal or property damage to an apparent extent of five hundred dollars ($500) or more" must be reported to appropriate law enforcement.
In the case of minor accidents without injuries, all parties may agree to exchange needed information and go their separate ways without contacting law enforcement. If this option is selected, police reports cannot be filed later and any claims pursuant to the accident must be sought in civil court.
If you damage an unoccupied vehicle while driving, you must attach a note to the damaged vehicle. The note must be legible, affixed in a secure and conspicuous location and include your name and address, the vehicle owner's name and address (if different) and a description of what happened.
Municipal Court, located at 420 N. Richardson Ave., handles traffic citations issued by the Roswell Police Department for traffic violations. Fines, if necessary, are paid at the court. The court is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. The court is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The court can be contacted by phone at 575-624-6725.

1. Register your short-term rental property at the City of Roswell's code enforcement office. Fill out the Lodgers’ Tax collection form and short term contact information. Form found here. Pay the non-refundable short-term rental registration fee of $35.2. Property owner shall provide proof of General Commercial Liability Insurance.3. If your short-term rental is approved, we will send an approval letter to the property owner or managing agency that includes the STR number, which will be assigned exclusively to your property.4. Bring your approval letter to the City of Roswell and apply for your business license, there is a separate fee that must be paid. After obtaining your business license, your short term rental will be in compliance.
You will also be required to submit lodgers' tax payments every month. The reporting form and payment are due on the 25th of the month following the month reporting. The reporting form is available here.
Please note that if approved, you will have to renew your short-term rental annually.
Museum staff do not provide appraisals, but can provide a list of certified appraisers upon request.
Please do not drop off prospective donations at the Museum. Instead, send an email to Aubrey Hobart, Curator of Collections and Exhibitions, at email@example.com. Be sure to describe the object, its provenance (if known), and include images of the work. Once the Museum staff has determined whether the object is appropriate to the collection and mission, you will be contacted about the next steps. Keep in mind that the process can take a couple of months to complete, as all prospective donations require approval from the Museum's Board of Trustees.
The Museum rents its facilities for special events such as meetings, lectures, birthday parties, and receptions. Fees vary depending upon daytime or evening activities, set up requirements, and location within the Museum complex. Admission prices range from $7-$10 for adults and children 15 and under are free. Planetarium fees are $3-$5 and may be combined with museum admission for $12. Museum members receive free admission to both the museum and general admission planetarium shows.
